- Flora fossils from Pliocene Youshashan Formation in Wulan area of Qinghai were systematically identified. The flora fossils consist of 10 species of angiosperms, which include Magnolia latifolia Tao, Alnus luxuriosa Li, Alnus prenepalensis Hu et Chaney, Juglans acuminate Al. Braun ex Unger, Podogonium?sp., Lithocarpus lancifolius Wang, Polygonum miosinicum Hu et Chaney, Sabalites sp., Cyperaceae?and Cyperacites sp. The characteristics of floral assemblages show that Wulan florule built develops in Early Pliocene, and the paleoclimate is warm and humid in subtropical zone.
