Abstract:
It is an urgent need to scientifically reveal the spatial differentiation patterns and influencing factors of agricultural carbon emission efficiency at village scale, which is oriented to the “dual carbon” goals and promotes the comprehensive green transformation of agriculture. The Yuyang district of Yulin city, Shaanxi province, which is located in the core area of the Jiziwan area, Yellow River, was selected as a case; the characteristics of regional differences in agricultural carbon emissions and their efficiency were investigated at village scale, the influencing factors of agricultural carbon emission efficiency were revealed by data envelopment analysis(DEA)and geodetector, and the green and low-carbon development models and pathways for agriculture were put forward. The results show that ① there are significant regional differences in agricultural carbon emissions in the village areas of Yuyang district, the annual carbon emission from the planting industry in Chaheze village is highest, reaching 3 149.12 t per year, and the annual carbon emission from the breeding industry in Dagudu village is highest, reaching 1 687.28 t per year; ② the composition of agricultural carbon emissions in the village areas of Yuyang district is significantly different, the fertilizer input and sheep breeding are the main sources of agricultural carbon emissions; ③ there is a large space for improving the agricultural carbon emission efficiency in the village areas of Yuyang district, the average carbon emission efficiencies of the planting and breeding industries are 0.951 and 0.713, respectively, and there is redundancy in terms of labor input, irrigation area, pesticide requirement, cattle and poultry breeding quantity; ④ the agricultural carbon emission efficiency in Yuyang district is affected by multiple factors, such as natural, socio-economic, and material input factors, etc. Therefore, accelerating the technological innovation of agricultural production, reducing carbon emission of livestock enteric fermentation, and improving green and low-carbon agricultural policies, are the key paths to promote the green and low-carbon transformation of agriculture and achieve high-quality development.
