Abstract:
After field profiles being observed and some indoor tests and analysis being fulfilled, this paper researched distri- bution, organic type and abundance of the Xujiahe Formation, Upper Triassic in Chishui and other areas in the Sichuan Ba- sin, analysed the main geo-chemical characteristics of the gas from the Xujiahe Formation, discovered the source characteris- tics of the Xujiahe Formation, and discussed the origin of the natural gas found in the formation. The results indicate that the natural gas of the Xujiahe Formation mainly derived form the lower strata.
