Abstract:
With remote sensing imagery data merging theory, the application of optical remote sensing, thermal infrared remote sensing and microwave remote sensing satellite imagery in geology is studied. The multi-spectral data merging techniques, such as the fusion of the different types of remotely sensed data with other geo-data at the same remote sensor in different levels, the data merging of diverse SAR imagery data, HIS conversion, data merging of remotely sensed imagery with geophysical, geological, air- borne electromagnetic data and so on,are analyzed. The results show that data merging technique has predominance to stand out lin- ear structure, fault structure and landform characteristics in the aspect to extract geologic feature information.
