Abstract:
Spore fossils including 14 genera and 56 species were discovered in the Shifang Group of Wenxian Coun- ty, Gansu Province. The discovery indicates that Shifang Group in this area belongs to early-middle Devonian be- cause these spore fossils can be compared with spore fossils of the Dushan and Duyun areas in Guizhou Province. This wonderful discovery has an important geologic significance in the division and time determination of the stra- tum and tectonic evolution study in this area.
