Abstract:
As a critical ecological barrier of Yellow River Basin and the core economic development zone in Northwest China, the optimization of production-living-ecological space(PLES)pattern in Weihe River Basin plays a pivotal role in regional sustainable development and high-quality development of Yellow River Basin. Based on land use data from 1990 to 2020, the transfer matrix, intensity map, standard deviational ellipse, and geodetector were employed to reveal the spatio-temporal evolution characteristics and driving mechanisms of PLES patterns. The results show that ① PLES in Weihe River Basin is dominated by ecological space(the area proportion is 55.6%)and production space(40.8%), with living space(3.6%)exhibiting a Xi'an-centered radial expansion pattern; ecological space increases by 2 473.45 km2 while production space decreases by 2 861.21 km2, reflecting dual effects of the Grain for Green Policy and urbanization; ② spatial transitions primarily occur between grassland ecological space and agricultural production space, with urban living space encroaching on cropland concentrated in Guanzhong Plain urban agglomeration; ③ standard deviational ellipse reveals northeastward migration of production space, northeast-northwest oscillation of ecological space, and notable northwestward expansion of living space; ④ geodetector results show that habitat quality(q=0.493)and annual average temperature(q=0.436)are the dominant natural factors, socioeconomic factors reinforce spatial restructuring through interactive pathways such as distance to urban construction land and gross domestic product(GDP), natural and socioeconomic factors have significant synergistic effects on PLES pattern.
