Abstract:
Promoting the balance of production, living and ecological spaces is the key to transform the floodplain of Lower Yellow River from “Yellow River Beach” to “Beach of Happiness”, which is also the inherent requirement to promote the ecological protection and high-quality development of Yellow River Basin. Based on the remote sensing data of land use from 2000 to 2020, the land use transition matrix and spatial conflict index model were applied to test the evolution characteristics of different types of production-living-ecological space(PLES)in the floodplain of Lower Yellow River, and the driving factors of PLES conflict were identified by multiscale geographically weighted regression(MGWR)model and geodetector. The results show that ① before the population resettlement, the areas of production and living spaces decrease by 0.26% and 1.09% respectively, and the area of ecological space increases by 1.35%; the transformation of space types is mainly manifested in the mutual transformation between production space and living space, and it is mainly concentrated in Henan section of Yellow River; after the population resettlement, the area of production space decreases by 1.60%, the area of ecological space increases by 1.47%, with limited area change of living space, and the transformation of space types is mainly from production space to ecological space; ② during the population resettlement, the PLES conflict shows a phased fluctuation, initially increasing and then decreasing, and the conflict intensity index increases from 0.32 to 0.35, and then decreases to 0.34; in the evolution of conflict types, there are high proportions of unit amount of weak, moderately weak and moderate spatial conflicts, while the weak and moderately weak spatial conflicts decrease, with significant increase of the moderate spatial conflicts; ③ natural, economic and social conditions are the main factors that induce the evolution of PLES conflict; the intensity of each influencing factor is elevation, land use intensity, distance to the prefecture-level city center, river network density, annual average precipitation, population density and annual average temperature in descending order, and the influence effect of interaction of factors is greater than that of single factor. From 2000 to 2020, the degree of PLES conflict in the floodplain of Lower Yellow River tends to ease. In the future, the balance among ecological protection, social development and economic growth should be achieved through scientific spatial planning and differentiated management strategies.
